Access Control Points

An access control point, which can be a door, turnstile, parking gate, elevator, or another physical barrier, where granting access can be electronically controlled. Typically, the access point is a door. An electronic access control door can contain several elements. EvTrack allows multiple devices to be associated with an Access Control Point.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Access Control Point List and Add/Edit an Access Control Point
  2. Define Entry/Exit Device Readers
  3. (_Optiona_l) Configure Use Limits or Extra Automation Relay Outputs

Step 1: Navigate to the Access Control Point List and Add/Edit an Access Control Point:

By default EvTrack System will create an Access Control Point named “Visitor ACP”. By default, this is used by the “Visitor ACL” Access Contol List used for all new visitor credentials.

Step 2: Define Entry/Exit Device Readers

Step 3: (Optional) Configure Use Limits or Extra Automation Relay Outputs

  • Enable “Option Decrease Use Limits On Access” if it's required to limit the use of the credentials (Please Note: Use Limit will only decrease if a relay output was triggered or event was triggered on an edge device)

  • Specify optional relay trigger outputs such as vehicle booms or turnstiles to trigger on Access Granted events from the EvTrack Guard App, LPR Cameras or QR Code Readers
