Installation

Instructions

  1. Navigate to https://app.evtrack.com
  2. Login and open the menu and navigate to "Downloads"
  3. Download the EvTrack Guard App and *(Optionally) download the EvDecoder Service (SADL) required for South Africa Driver License Decoding
  4. *(Optionally) Download the EvDecoder Service, save the file and follow the prompts
  5. *(Optionally) Open EvDecoder Service and confirm that is loaded correctly
  6. Download the EvTrackGuard App, save the file and follow the prompts
  7. Launch the “EvTrack Guard” app and Allow Permissions Requests
  8. Note the Device Reported UID and configure in the Web Browsers under devices.
  9. Configure the Device Reported UID in the Web Browser under devices

Step 7: Launch the “EvTrack Guard” app and Allow Permissions Requests

All Permissions needs to be granted to the app.

  • Camera, Microphone and Storage (Visitor Photos and Software Barcode Scanner)

  • Contacts (Login)

  • Telephone (IMEI Number used for Device Reported Serial Number on Android 6-8 Only)

Step 8: Note the Device Reported UID and configure in the Web Browsers under devices.

Please note the differences regarding the Device Reported UID by Android versions

  • Android 6-8 will try and use the device IMEI as the Device Reported UID. The IMEI number is non-resetable and will not change if the App is uninstalled or the device is factory reset. (Requires Telephone Permission)

  • Android 9+ the Device Reported UID is unique to the app installation and will change if the app is uninstalled or the device is factory reset.

Step 9: Configure the Device Reported UID in the Web Browser under devices:
